After 40 years of using a Ruger .44 mag. auto carbine as my deer gun, I purchased a Ruger 96/44 lever rifle. I can't find a see-thru mount for this gun. Does anyone know of a see-thru scope mount that will fit the Ruger 96/44 without drilling and taping for screws.

I would look into Weaver scope mounts - they would probably be the most likely company to have the mounts you are looking for.

Yea check weaver and check other places on the internet and see if you can find one.

Ruger is infamous for using its own proprietary rings I would check brownels but other than that get a good gunsmith and let him drill it, its not that big a deal and a good smithy will do you a good job.
