Walleye caught off a pier in Cleveland. A jig and a worm at 2 AM. My guess the fish is 20 yo. Not sure if I already posted this.

I have found that walleyes feed just two times per day.
Once before I get there, and again after I leave.

Some guy out here caught an 8 lb brook trout. Somehow I can't believe it's 100% brookie.

It does make you wonder, but I can believe it since it's a lake fish. I don't think we'll ever see a 15-pounder but in proportion they're just like any other trout. In our smaller rivers and streams, a brown that's 20 inches is a monster but there are 30-pounders swimming around in Lake Ontario. In some parts of Canada, particularly Labrador, huge brookies are fairly common -- and even here in New York, in the North Country region, brookies as big as 3-4 pounds are, if not common, not all that unusual, and our state record is all the way up to 6 pounds now.
