How do I clean a mounted wild turkey?

Peggy, Try a slightly damp soft cloth, that should do it, but if there is some cob webs you could put that soft hairy brush on your vacuum cleaner and try that very softly.

That's a good answer. I don't have any birds mounted to claim experience so I'd be extra careful about feathers coming out. I only have experience with whitetail mounts and a fish.

I was being a little tongue in check there. I'd take to bird to a taxidermist to have it professionally done. They are very fragile.

I clean my mounts with the air hose, just make sure you don't get too close or else you will blow the feathers off.

I have 2 mounted Gobblers and have never lost a feather. A friend told me to take a clean soft cloth and spray it with WD 40 then lightly wipe in the direction with the feathers.

Dust with a soft cloth paying attention to the lay of the feathers.

Wait til the Tom dis-mounts, then just hose her off.
