Perhaps the Republicans can find an issue where the democrat nominee is defending killing babies or taking firearms from vulnerable populations. How hard is that!!!!

    Let's GO Brandon!!!

It only takes 50 votes to confirm, and they've got them.

The confirmation of Associate Justice Clarence Thomas, 1991.

        "... just be honest ..."

"Honesty" is not in the liberal vocabulary.

"As the White House considers candidates to replace the retiring justice, they’ll need a judge who is guaranteed to garner support from every member of the Democratic caucus. That raises the stakes for the confirmation battle, but also provides some comfort for Democrats: as long as they stay unified, Republicans can’t stop Breyer’s successor from being confirmed. Republicans scrapped the 60-vote threshold on high court nominees in 2017."

The only thing that would cause the Democrats to fail to support a nominee is if he or she swore to be loyal to the Constitution. Democrats consider the Constitution to be a liability to governing. If the nominee swore to Defend the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic they would have to vote the nominee down. Loserville rules!

              What did Obama say?
"The Constitution is an old, outdated document and needs to be updated."

"... Obama in his interview (2001) disparages the Constitution as merely "a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states can't do to you. Says what the federal government can't do to you but doesn't say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf." He believes—and he's right—that changing this is the way to bring about "redistributive change." ..."

'99, I know two votes they might not get.

BTY, if these Judges are suppose to follow the law and constitution, why does it matter what color they are. Answer: they, especially the blacks have agenda's and they vote as blocks.

They are called 'Social Constructionists',, a small, minority that believes what has been for Centuries DOES NOT have to be in the future. The whims of Society can morph into a form of a new NORM, and Courts can abd do facilitate it. . CRT, Equity, LGBTQUEER and all that is a trending new normal - ONLY if the 85% remainder of Society allows it
Grasshopper, Pay Attention to your Local Society, City and School and Government, it is up to you.

Then Justice Clarence Thomas must be an exception to the rule.
BTW, I do not expect Joe Biden to nominate a conservative.

(d)'s are chomping at the bit.
Biden has vowed to "nominate" a black, female justice, regardless of qualifications, to SCOTUS.
They "know" the GOP will vote against ANY liberal. If that nominee just happens to be black AND female....they will throw out that (R)'s are "racist" and "misogynistic"!

                      ....but wait!

                        Biden's SCOTUS pick won't be a "shoo-in".

Even RINO Sen S. Collins (R-ME) is telling (d)'s to "slow their roll" on Biden's SCOTUS pick.
Even Manchin and Sinema are both claiming they won't "rubber stamp" just anyone COVID Joe nominates.

With two spare magazines, it should be safe to carry out the garbage after dark.

As much as I admire Johnny Cash, I think the original Vaughn Monroe version is better.
