Those who were kids in the 80s might remember the show "Voyagers" about the time travelers. Jon Erik-Hexum, the star of that show, died when he put a prop gun to his head and said something like, "Hey, everyone, watch this!"

Since it appears the gun was real then maybe the ten rules of firearm safety we all learned as children in hunter ed should be mandatory for anyone handling a firearm on set? Baldwin shouldn't be off the hook for this if he pointed a gun at someone and pulled the trigger. The "I didn't know it was loaded" doesn't work for others, wonder if he'll be the exception. Remember all his Trump gags on SNL? Wonder if they'll do some on him now?

I wonder if the arrogant Mr Baldwin realizes that he has proved that there are literally tens of millions of Americans better able to handle firearms than he is.

        Let's GO Brandon!!!

Haven’t seen anything from official sources yet but reports are it was a live round.

The latest word is that the gun was loaded with live ammo, but mistakenly treated as a "cold gun" when handed to Baldwin.
He was performing at the time , and was supposed to aim and shoot at the camera to get the audience view of the shooting.
Of course, even so, Baldwin should have checked the gun before the scene.
Probably a single action revolver, as the movie was a western.

More info coming out. Apparently there have been other issues happening, including other discharges.

Appears they weren’t actually filming at the time.

Per this article, there had already been 3 "accidental discharges" andvthe production crew had walked off the job that very morning!

With reports of difficulties surrounding union and non union personnel on set, this appears to be maybe not so ‘accidental’ ! When a live round is inserted into a prop gun, the accident portion of the incident is negated. The round did not accidentally occur. It would appear that the investigation would need to fall directly to the last person in charge of gun preparation and loading. This whole ‘accident’ issue was definitely no accident, live rounds do not just happen.

What the hell is a live round doing on a movie set anyway?
                            Reminds me of Forrest Gump.

Falls to everyone who had the gun in their hands, including Baldwin.

The armourer was a 24 year old female who had left the gun outside on a cart with two others, the assistant director brought it in and handed it to Baldwin shouting “Cold Gun”. Obviously he didn’t check, nor did Baldwin. They were rehearsing, the two victims were setting up the cameras when Baldwin fired in their direction. During actual filming they would have been running the cameras from a remote area.

This doesn’t take into account other issues
with the firearms on set. This is starting to sound like as much of an accident as a drunk being told to leave a bar after being served too much and walking him to his car.

I have heard the differential diagnosis is based on the mild temp increase up to about 101, not higher.

If anyone is a true outdoors "person", any Peter Hathaway Capstick book is a grand read and anything by Gene Hill is good.
                                  I'm sure there...
