  • TGIF; Off the Big Screen

So I mentioned this last week, we’ve posted a few songs off soundtracks before but I think there’s loads of material left to cover. Not only are there some great tunes to share we can also discuss the movies themselves. Posting scene clips is fair game as well.

Leading off with Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll” from the flick “Risky Business”.

This was the first R rated movie I ever watched in a theater. Oh, Rebecca.

    Sometimes you just gotta say…….

I’m not always a fan of the entertainers but still enjoy laughing at them. This one is the opposite of the previous song but it still makes me want to hit the dance floor nonetheless.

Hope PH cuts a rug better than these two, lol!

First of many from “Mr. Soundtrack” Kenny Loggins. “I’m Alright” from “Caddy Shack”.

      “It’s In The Hole!!!!!!!!”

I am a long way from the fine art of music such as fitch, PH and Bubba and have little in regards to their insight of such. But, I do have my own favorite sound tracks, one with lyrics and one without. My all time favorite is the music from the movie Geronimo and the other of Neil Diamond in Johnathan Livingston Seagull. There are others of enjoyment, but these two stand out for me.

For the gear heads. This was a musical so lots of choices but I’m going with this one.

                      “Greased Lightning”

Oh geez! I was afraid you'd do this! 😉! I always disliked "musicals". People don't just walk around singing and dancing! LOL!
                          Okay!
                          I'll play!
First, I'll go back and dig up something from "South Pacific".

                          Here we go!

I believe the movie "White Christmas" came out in 1954. Bing Crosby did this number in 1942.

Richard, here's one by Neil Diamond from the movie, The Jazz Singer. "Love On The Rocks" is in my top 5 to sing.
