Of course, I'm no Glen Campbell either! LOL!
    But thanks.
You probably also remember this version: Gene Autry, from Tumbling Tumbleweeds 1935

That sounds a bit more like my rendition! A bit twangy and a sharp or flat off! LOL!

Not exactly what you meant, but still.

Not your fault, sir. The old gal is a real corker and a lot of fun.
But she's not the only one that repeats the same songs week after week after week.
The group is large enough, you only get two or three songs each week.
When I'm practicing a song, I may repeat it anywhere from 10 to 15 times until I get accustomed to chord changes and different inflections on the lyrics.
Doing the same song week after week gets old.
I've got a repertoire of over 200 songs, both inspirational and country so that repetition isn't necessary.

Something similar happens with our karaoke on Sunday. The group is large enough that each singer usually just gets two songs. Some only have 5 or so songs in their bucket. One thing though, they usually get pretty good with them. PigHuntress and I are up to 70 each and climbing. We've started going to another bar too on Monday's and usually get 4 songs each there.

PigHuntress sings that one and does pretty good with it.
