  • Permitless "Open Carry" passes Texas Senate.

It only needs Gov. Abbott's signature!

I can agree with the premise. However, the law states that it pertains to any law abiding citizen who is eligible to own a firearm ! My only question is......how is that to be determined ? How are we to know that each person carrying is such a person ? What is to differentiate who is eligible and who is not, but still carrying ?

It's not just open carry , they can conceal carry without a permit also.

You still need to pass a background check to purchase any firearm from a dealer.

The bad guys are already carrying regardless of any law.

The legality point I fully understand. But, your point regarding ‘bad guys’ is a good one !

In OK, you can "open carry" without a permit but concealed carry still requires a permit! 🤔?
