Very interesting! PigHuntress sang "That's Life" a few weeks ago at the bar.

Watched the precious Ms. Underwood (Checotah, OK) "win"(?) American Idol.
Thought, "Hey, not bad! A cute chick from Oklahoma wins."
No doubt, Ms. Underwood has done well for herself and continues to woo the crowds with her good looks and voice... but a country music "artist"? She ain't!
All her songs are like Johnny Cash's "Tennessee Two" band.
Luther Perkins was a shade tree auto mechanic and a second rate guitarist.
EVERY song Cash put out had a characteristic "chick-a-boom" beat due to Perkins two chord guitar playing style! LOL!
            That "chick-a-boom" became Cash's "signature"!

Listen to Ms. Underwood a while and you'll begin to see all her songs (?) are the same.
            Same beat.
            Same story line.
Same old, same old time after time.
...and she can't dance AND sing for beans.

That’s why I posted her cover of Gun’s N’ Roses “Paradise City”on post #7, she really belts it out. I have to be in the right mood to listen to crooners but find them depressing for the most part. I’d wager most of Underwood’s songs are picked for her to meet a specific demographic. She won A I in 2005 and her net worth is now over 200 million so they’re doing something right. Will be interesting to see her progression as she ages.
