  • Jamal Koshogi (ap)

Koshogi was cut up in Istanbul. He was a reporter with The Washington Post and continually criticized the Prince of Saudi Arabia. Should have kept his mouth shut.

"... Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi was a Saudi Arabian dissident, author, columnist for The Washington Post, and a general manager and editor-in-chief of Al-Arab News Channel who was assassinated at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on 2 October 2018 by agents of the Saudi government. ..."

Khashoggi was a liberal hack. He was promoted by WaPo to stir up the Arabs against Israel and Trump.
Khashoggi and the WaPo thought his connection with an "American" news publication would protect him from the Saudi's.
The UAE doesn't have a Constitution, much less a First Amendment. Talk ugly about the royal family and they don't get mad. THEY get even!
Remember, the libs were all bent out of shape over Khashoggi's death?
The left demanded Trump apologize and investigate.
Trump "investigated" 😏, but he KNEW what happened.
I don't think Trump was happy about a (ahem!) journalist getting whacked, but he knew better than to cross the Saudi's and wasn't about to meddle in the royal family's affairs.
For the Saudi's, it wasn't political. It was personal.
