The sham impeachment of Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States, ended today with the Senate voting 57 to 43 for acquittal. Despite the drivel posted by some phony Canajan lunatic, and probably from the slimy nine and the red rodent, it would appear that the demoncrat impeachment managers presented such a weak case on the charge of "inciting insurrection", that even some of the demoncrat Senators were unconvinced.
Correction: The vote was 57 for conviction, 43 for acquittal. Still a long way from a two thirds majority. The way the newcaster said it, I believed that it was 57 not guilty votes.

one reading of the conditions for guilty is the mob had to have 'political plans for an operating government' after an insurrection'. That condition was not met.

It just goes to prove, it is necessary to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time ! Appears that is something the dimwits have trouble doing, or at least convincing sane people they are capable of sound thinking. Let’s do the math here, 0 for 2, I would imagine that is rather poor for the ego issue !! There was never a chance of Trump being convicted. Despite the ravings of the mentally challenged, such as the Honkster , 75 million people voted for him. Republicans could not expect to be elected dogcatcher if they betrayed their party to that extent. Biden is our President. He was elected by the most foul means. The level of fear mongering by the media and the Democrats was unprecedented in my lifetime. Looting, arson, murder and rioting was condoned by the media and the Democrats as a tool to elect their stooge. Trump proved his popularity on Jan 6 and before but the fix was in. Elections in the US aren't going to be remotely accurate unless identity is confirmed, and a date is a certainty. Without that no non leftist will ever be elected again. If the Democrats are allowed to set the parameters of the voters, citizens will lose their rights.

All Democrats voted to have witnesses, also 4 of the Republicans that eventually voted to convict as well as Graham. I don't think the Dems were worried about Pelosi or anyone else testifying, they want to move on to the Covid Bill, and they want to get home for the 4 day weekend.
