Nice sunny day so got to camp to check things out. Four mouse traps, four dead mice. Reload with some p-butter. The solid bait food in the plastic holders were hardly touched. Did some shooting with .357 Ruger and my Remington R-51 9mm. Very comfortable as long as you stayed in the sun.

Peanut butter and bacon grease = dead mice. Unless you get one of those wise old campaigners who can lick a trap clean without tripping it. I had one of those last winter. Five straight nights. I finally resorted to a glue trap, a few inches ahead of the other trap along his usual route. It worked. I hate those things, though -- I'd much rather find a cleanly dead mouse than one struggling with its last bit of energy.
