Yeah, but sadly, I think there will be bloodshed (i.e. civil unrest) over this.
About the only thing we've got on our side is it takes a 2/3's majority to kill an amendment...that is if they don't just out-and-out kill the "old, outdated Constitution"!

ARs are just the latest, in the 80's, libs were screaming about Mini-14s. In the 70's, it was Sat. Night Specials and AK-47s. Study after study showed long guns very, very seldom were involved in the street crime of the time and the newest trend at the time, drive by shootings.
