  • Ipos Reuters Poll about Events at the capital

    https://fingfx.thomsonreuters.com/gf...008%202021.pdf

    With caveats.

They don't ask about the 99% of protesters who didn't even enter the capital building.

Wording seems a little bit slanted but nothing like what you'd get from regular media. I like that they use the neutral word "protesters".

I'm most interested in what Republicans and indies think, assuming Dems are tribal (as are Republicans). How Republicans and indies eventually come to think of events will determine how the country moves on to the next 4 years. Both groups strongly appose occupying capital building and consider those who did so criminals. I'd note that not all who went in did so forcefully. The police cooperatively opened some doors and people simply walked in keeping within roped off barriers.

Not sure how all this helps pass legislation to improve the country.

The FBI and the New York City Police Department passed information to U.S. Capitol Police about the possibility of violence during the protests Wednesday against the counting of the Electoral College vote.

As a mob of his supporters stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday, Donald Trump was reportedly unconcerned about the destruction or insurrection taking place but instead how the violent extremists appeared “low-class”.

Thousands of Yale and Harvard law school alumni and students petition for Cruz and Hawley to be disbarred.

The New York Bar Association is reportedly also considering disbarring Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor and lawyer to the president, for his role in inflaming the crowd ahead of the assault on Congress.

I don't know, I saw quite a few of MAGA hats in the news films - or maybe that was Antifa shifting identity.

Most of the pro-Trump Capitol mob figures captured on film have already been arrested.

Many of the people who broke into and ransacked the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday acted like they did not think there would be any consequences. For many of them, there have been consequences. Some of them have lost work. And many of the people whose photos went viral online and on TV have been arrested. The FBI says it is searching for the rest.

One of the rioters was recognized on television by his ex-wife, who promptly reported him to the FBI.

If Antfia did not use this to discredit conservatives, they missed a good chance. But, I would have to think there were several Antfia people in the WH ! It is amazing how differently dimwits look at their accepted looting and burning than they did at the WH gathering. And many of the dimwit legislators were cheering their people on during the summer and fall, certainly encouraging the protests and violence.

President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence appear to have come to a détente after nearly a week of silence.

Trump may be in need of a pardon.

                    Maybe a double pardon.

Just fake news, how does anyone know what the president was concerned about. Unless he says it aloud which he has little problem with!

                          .......Sounds a bit like fascism......!

It sounds a whole lot like the idiot bandicoot and the garbage that erupts out of his senseless mouth. I do not agree with much that rr says, but he does make some valid points and presents favorable comments when deserved ! But with the dimwits, there is no room for any ideas, reasoning, or even a thought of opinion that differs with theirs ! And they think the division in this country is the fault of Trump, not even considering the problems presented by the four stooges that lead the HR !

As the rest of the world comes to see Trump for what he is, they are severing all business connections with him and his family, including the banks.

But it appears the PGA's decision to move the 2022 PGA Championship from Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, may have upset the president as much as anything else.
