Remington to be bought out by seven (7) different investors!

  • #2
Seems this bingo game ended up with Ruger buying the Marlin gun "pieces-part" of the big Remington bankruptcy sale.

What do you think might possibly come out of this matchup?

    A Ruglin?
    A Marger?

Can you think of a Ruger/Marlin cross that would be advantageous?

I bet Vista closes the Ilion NY Remington plant and moves everything to Alabama.

I think that would be a marvelous "I-deer"!

Not for the small city of Ilion NY. Remington is everything to them.

Won't disagree, but getting away from Gov. Cuomo (D-NY) is a matter of life and death.

P.S. - nothing would please Cuomo more than getting rid of Remington. If it destroys Ilion, NY, he couldn't care less!

Good article, I hope it works. Too many people to lose from the work force and I'm sure they take pride in their work, in spiteof management's poor decisions. I hope Ruger takes good care of the Marlin brand.

It turns out that Remington, meaning Remington Outdoor Corp., wasn’t too big to fail. Looking at reportedly about a half-billion dollars of debt and having made a ruinous decision to get out of the AR and pistol business right before this year’s surge in demand, it was over.

Roundhill Group says they are intent on keeping the Ilion, NY plant up and running and are working with the union to keep it going.

                  Sounds good!

Glad I've got all the Remingtons I need, they are all old, tried and true. When the Winchester brand finally got bought out, their prices went sky high, their quality control went way down hill, and they discontinued all the left hand models. We may see the same with the Remington brands, if they survive with the name intact.
