Exactly. We knew Trump's faults going in. Some of us didn't support him, at first. For some, he was not our first choice. He is not a smooth, articulate, politician. We knew he had scars, warts, and a few wrinkles. However, he was obviously a much better choice than the hildabeast. He talked about "Making America Great Again." He inspired people at his campaign events. Somewhere, somehow, his message got through to the American people, and he was elected. He has done the one thing no other politician in my lifetime has done. He has kept his promise to the American people. He has put America first. He cares not one whit about politics, other in the reference frame of working for We the People. He accepts no salary, instead donating his presidential stipend to charities and worthy causes.
He has suffered each and every attack on himself, his reputation, his abilities and even his wife and family, with a calmness that is uncanny. He hits back at fake news, worthless reporters and so called journalists, yes. But We The People forgive that. Hell, we even like it when he does some of the things he does to worthless politicians and even more worthless "journalists"!
Until this. This lowdown, lying, totally false, allegation that he dishonored the dead soldiers of WWI, buried in France. A total lie. Even the President's detractors say this is a lie. Another low life tactic of the totally dishonest and disgraced left wing, to smear a man that proves daily that he has only one agenda. America, and the American people, FIRST!

The "lie" about our war dead has been confirmed, and the press corps has interviewed the witnesses.
We just won't get their names.
It is not at all hard to believe the story conveys Trump's sentiments, but that he could be so thoughtless as to express it in front of witnesses. He just doesn't see anything wrong with it.
Except that he now knows it hurts him politically.

No. The story is that a reporter was informed by four witness that Trump disparaged our war dead.
That was disputed because no names were disclosed. The witnesses had spoken on condition of anonymity.
Trump denied the underlying story.
Then other reporters spoke with the witnesses, who confirmed the underlying story while maintaining anonymity.
So the first reporter spoke the truth.
That is what has been confirmed by other investigative reporters, which adds greatly to its credibility.

And now Trump is calling for the scalp of a Fox reporter who confirmed the story.
He is asking for the press to give up its professional reputation as a personal favor to him.

No amount of denial, or witnesses coming forward will dissuade him from his belief in "anonymous, unnamed" sources, who refuse to be identified, when at least ten sources say it never happened.
