ID:	741151 We’ve been camping at the 1000 Islands area along the St. Lawerence River with the in-laws, today is my nieces first birthday and my wife and I ended up with cake duty. Usually we do some type of dump cobbler for dessert but we tried something similar that was more cake like but still simple. Turned out awesome except for the sugar high we’re all now experiencing. Butter
    One box chocolate cake mix
    One can sprite
    chocolate chips
    graham crackers
    marshmallows

Coat a Dutch oven in butter then mix the cake mix with the can of sprite. Bake about 20 minutes (I checked at 15 and it was ready)

Add a layer of crushed graham crackers (about 6 whole ones), chocolate chips and cover with marshmallows. Put the lid back on for another 5 minutes to melt everything together.

If possible serve with ice cream.

Um uh, my birthday is the 28th (60th). Shipping can't be that much, just sayin.

Let me check to see if the Dutch oven will fit in a flat rate box. 😎

Got to get that into my Dutch oven cookbook. Looks a lot like s'mores for adults.
        What size Dutch oven? 10"?

          Yep, 10” oven.
Recipe is actually called Dutch oven S’more cake, wife found it online.

Going to start Calzones shortly, using a second 12” also, they’re both ready for coals.

I’m thinking substituting the Sprite with Coke a Cola and a little rum might make this more interesting.

I’m sure I’ve posted calzone pics before but these turned out excellent as well. Gotta love cast iron cooking.
