CRM - It would be nice if you could address the issues presented in opposing comments instead of deriding the person posting the comments.
Anybody can call his opponent a dope, but intelligent people know enough to dismiss that kind of response as just a bluff.
You do it all the time.

I think they must have a whole crew of people over at https://www.factcheck.org/2020/08/tr...her-countries/ working to keep up with Trump. His recent rants about Covid 19 include multiple lies per sentence even and they go to great lengths to give background, sources, etc for every one. For a company that makes it's business at debunking lies, Trump must be like they've died and gone to heaven.

Here is an interesting little piece about Trump's need to lie.

Extremely insightful. What is most alarming is that so many Americans find episodic government appealing. A new reality every day. What a way to run a country. But who cares? It's adventurous. Tomorrow will be a better day ... because Trump says so. If it's not, so what. Start over again day after tomorrow. Insanity is not boring. But it is dangerous. Wake the hell up America!

Another whopper told yesterday by the Comander in Chief of Fabrication. He knows the explosion in Beruit was an "attack" because some of his "great generals" told him it was. But no one seems to be able to find a general who will confirm telling him anything except that it was probably an accident. Every indication is that the explosion was caused by a fire in a fireworks shipment that spread to a warehouse full of confiscated ammonia nitrate. But hey, that reality just isn't exciting enough for Trump. Same with his supposed knowledge without evidence that the Chinese "sent" the COVID19 corona virus to US. Another bogus attack. Trump lives in his own reality. Scary that he has any credibility at all.

Meanwhile, all around the globe, people are saying that the president of the United States says that the explosion in Beruit was caused by some kind of a bomb.
It isn't hard for a president to keep his name in the news every day, with reporters all around waiting for a quotation about the latest act of violence anywhere in the world.

Or more likely the reporters are having fun with it. "Hey, look at what that idiot said today. Not as silly as injecting bleach but a close second." A whole lot of GOP Congressional incumbents must be pulling their hair out about now. It gets nuttier every day we get closer to the election. If someone would just lock him in a closet and take away his phone for the duration, the party might have half a chance of some semblance of existence after November.

honk the phony, did you ever consider the possibility that the President of the United States just might have better intelligence sources than a tiny little phony in the frozen North? Or that generals in the chain of command might be under orders not to talk about the Beirut explosion, whatever the cause?
No, your TDS gets in the way, and you willingly jump to conclusions and call the President a liar, mostly because he does not conform to your ideas. Let the facts come out, honk-honk. Beirut, and Lebanon in general, have been a hot spot for terror and acts of terrorism for decades.
I'm not saying it was, or it was not. I'm just saying that the facts are not known at this time.

                    CRM -
                    Give it up.
It was an ammonium nitrate explosion set off by fireworks.
I don't begrudge you your task of trying to make Trump look good on a day-to-day basis.

To recover from his Axios interview which went viral in all the wrong ways, Trump went on Fox and Friends. Fox by the way gets a "hyper-partisan right in terms of bias and as somewhat unreliable in terms of reliability." according to ad fontes media, Bubba's favorite news rating source. https://www.adfontesmedia.com/fox-ne...d-reliability/

Fox is Trump's favorite place to go when licking his wounds, he can kind of do his stream of consciousness thing and rant about whatever he likes. Trump said schools can open because Covid will go away. Kind of like what he was saying in February, March, April, May and so on. He also said how great we were doing (remember? 1000 dead per day? "it is what it is" is a direct quote) Trump also said other countries are experiencing the second wave and used Spain as an example. Spain has 500 new cases per day, we have 50,000.

If Trump was listening he'd of whacked the softballs tossed his way, things like "what ya gunna do in your second term? or when asked if he was purposefully sabotaging the the post office to skew the elections instead of emphatically denying it or something he ranted about how horrible the post office is.

Facebook took down a post by Trump later today claiming kids are almost immune to covid.

It all seems funny and Fact Check dot com is probably paying their Trump team overtime but he could well win re election. The ground game by the Republicans is impressive, and the Democrats don't have one. Knocking on doors works, I know, I used to do a lot of it.

Well, this explanation attempt is about the lamest yet. So the president blabs to the world that this was not an accident but an attack on Lebanon. Yet the "great generals" who supposedly told him that are supposed to keep the intelligence confirming it a secret? And you really think that makes sense? If it was a security matter, why was Trump even talking about it? The port authority people in Beruit have already been put under house arrest for failing to do their job. The president of Lebanon pretty much confirmed it was an accident the same day it happened. Trump had to have seen that on TV. But reality doesn't fit his agenda. He needs to take a heroic stand against a demonic enemy ... even if he has to make up the attack. Kinda scary. Actually, very scary. Does the event that started WWII in 1939 ring any bells? The guy is SICK!

I think at this point a political cartoon of Trump with a "Kick Me" sign attached to the back of his suit jacket would be appropriate. And wearing the usual fool's cap. Go ahead and put the "Make America Great" logo on it too.

The Pentagon is distancing itself from President Trump's claims about the Beirut blast that killed more than 100 people.
