Speaking of lack of knowledge, I saw a clip last night of Trump rambling at some rally about not knowing why the 19 was in COVID-19. A great mystery. "No one tells me. I don't know. There's this 19 and I don't know." Really? This guy is in charge of dealing with a devastating pandemic and he doesn't even know that much about the disease? Guess God forgot to tell him during their last chat. What is truly amazing is the context. No one asked him a question about 19. He just spouted it off right out of his empty head. Why would he do such a stupid thing, advertising his ignorance voluntarily and for no reason? Because he IS stupid AND careless. Great leadership qualities.

It is all the pro teams taking up the banner of the blm, which is a marxist organization, and putting the names of dead felons on the helmets, kneeling for the National Anthem, and painting "black lives matter" on their courts. Stadium attendance, TV viewing, any measure you use, is in the celler.

Today the US dipped below 40,000 new cases. Things seem to be leveling off well below the 50,000 mark that we were at for a long time. We are still reaching a thousand deaths a day some days but on average we're well below that, maybe 850 or something.

India, the new infection leader, is about double our daily rate, up to 80,000 a day, those folks are packed tight together. The EU despite a recent uptick due to summer vacations on the Med is about half our rate, for the entire EU.

State wise it's still CA and TX way out there in front with Florida a distant third. Rates per million though show some high numbers from surprisingly Nodak, Sodak, Iowa, and a strong fourth is Alabama. Still out dining, drinking, and dancing without a mask Piggy?

For the good of the country, Trump would do well to postpone the target date for the vaccine until after the election, because it now appears to be a political calculation.

And how many non-elderly get sick and survive but suffer long term disabling issues? You need to read what some of those folks are writing about how COVID19 has altered their lives. No one is keeping track of those statistics ... unfortunately. No one needs to go to the trouble of trying to make Trump look like an idiot. He accomplished that all on his own via twitter long before the pandemic arrived.
