He is using Memorial Day to promote the sale of Trump items in his fund raising activities, as follows:

The brave men and women who fought for our freedom and laid down their lives for our Nation are truly exceptional and I wanted to do something special to honor them for Memorial Day.

There is nothing more Patriotic than Americans proudly wearing USA gear for everyone to see, which is why I wanted to hold an exclusive Trump Memorial Day Sale.
You haven't provided any proof that you actually received this message (presumably it was via email and you can't without revealing identity). But it certainly would not surprise me if it is genuine. Assuming it is, I'm also not surprised this "patriotic" phony sings the praises for those who answered their country's call ... even though he persistently dodged that call. But to claim that giving this coward money is comparably patriotic to serving in the armed forces? I'm sorry, that's just too much. What a no class jerk.

    • Honker -
In my opening sentence, I said, "I just got another email from Donald Trump."
As a regular contributor to the Republican Party, my name is on their donor list, and I get emails requesting contributions from the Republican National Committee during every election cycle.
I don't see why anyone would find that hard to believe.
Now, here is another email I just got from Trump/Pence (with my name deleted):

CONGRATULATIONS - You have been formally selected to join the Trump Presidential Honor Roll in recognition of your unwavering support and commitment to President Donald J. Trump.

President Trump has always been able to rely on you as a dedicated supporter, which is why we are proud to offer you the exclusive opportunity to join the Trump Presidential Honor Roll.

As a member of the Honor Roll, President Trump will be relying on YOU to advise him throughout the coming months on the proper course of action when countering the Left’s LIES and deceptions. When he needs guidance, HE’LL TURN TO YOU.

Joining President Trump’s Honor Roll is absolutely paramount if we’re going to secure another FOUR MORE YEARS and keep our Nation out of the hands of BIG GOVERNMENT SOCIALISTS, and that’s why we are calling on YOU to step up and accept the offer TODAY.

The Honor Roll is a select group and we can only guarantee your spot for the NEXT 3 HOURS before we release it.

      • I am surprised that more of us on this forum have not reported receiving similar email messages from the GOP and Trump/Pence campaign.
Can I be the only GOP contributor on this forum?
And I am being called a RINO by non-contributing members.
        Talk is cheap.

        • It appears that "Obamagate" is not enough of a distraction from the coronavirus disaster.
We need to set off a few nuclear explosions.
Nothing is off the table in an election year.
          Bombs away!

"Nobody in their right mind ..." That about sums it up. I certainly hope this is fake news but it sure fits the profile Trump has painted of himself the last four years ... out of his own mouth and daily Tweets.

            • Be thankful there are safeguards against a lunatic president starting a nuclear war all by himself.

It is possible that Trump doesn't know that yet. He is still learning on the job.

                • Last night I watched a taped lengthy 2017 interview with Colin Powell. On his once thought-about candidacy for president he said he only thought about it out of a soldier's sense of duty. But the wheels behind GOP wouldn't support him because he was/is "too moderate." He didn't say it in so many words but he meant Fox News.

I was again impressed with Powell's intelligence, class, gentle but sharp wit, and articulation. He was the definition of "engaging." It is the country's and world's great loss that he was taken in by Cheney's boys in the CIA cherry picking fake information on Iraq's WMA's. Powell said that was "humiliating" and he didn't try to shed the blame on fake news, liberal conspiracy, etc. He acknowledged his failure and took it like a man. A great man.

Then I look at the crap sitting in the Oval Office today and shake my head. The GOP could have had Powell in that chair. He would wipe the floor with anything the Democrats could come up with. Instead they pick some loudmouth showboat halfwit. Because controversy and "fighting back" sells Fox News. Makes that other classless billionaire Rupert Murdoch richer. Makes America an embarrassment. What a shame.

                  • Powell is a Democrat. He is a gun grabber, not a Constitutionalist. He may be to the right of AOC but he's got too much faith in the government and not enough in the individual to be a Republican President.

Calling people names again! You can't or won't debate issues/ policies you disagree with! You call Powell a great man. What makes you the expert on who is great?

                      Again Trump 2020!

If you want to debate policies we can.

Dumping Trump would require embracing a Democrat. I can't conceive of voting for the confiscation of firearms. I can't conceive of voting for giving illegal immigrants a superior role to citizens in our country. It would be a vote for identity politics over the rule of law and the Constitution. The Democratic Party isn't a American party at all anymore. Ann Coulter is unhappy with Trump. I had such a low expectation for Trump that I am happy with the job that he is doing. As compared to 41 and 43 I'd pick 45 as the better President. He doesn't require that the people who support him have to expect and enjoy getting pissed on by the elites who consider themselves so superior to the working class in this country. I'm not embracing the suck. I'm not embracing Ms Coulter.

                            • Coulter's grievance with Trump is that he is trying to punish Jeff Sessions for recusing himself on the Russian meddling thing, by opposing Sessions in the Alabama Senate primary, and killing our chance to pick up a seat.
With a possible loss of four Republican seats in a toss-up election, that could cost us control of the Senate.
                              All for revenge.

                              • whiny 9, sessions has proved that he is not reliable, and that he is no real Republican. Can't blame President Trump for not supporting someone who not only does not have his back, but turned his back on the President. Nor is the President opposing him, just withholding a Presidential endorsement, from what I understand. As to ann coulter's blathering, she has not been an avid Trump supporter since she did not receive a White House position.
