Impeached or "under impeachment," Trump is living under "the sword of Damocles."

For Cicero, the tale of Dionysius and Damocles represented the idea that those in power always labor under the specter of anxiety and death, and that “there can be no happiness for one who is under constant apprehensions.” The parable later became a common motif in medieval literature, and the phrase “sword of Damocles” is now commonly used as a catchall term to describe a looming danger. Likewise, the saying “hanging by a thread” has become shorthand for a fraught or precarious situation. One of its more famous uses came in 1961 during the Cold War, when President John F. Kennedy gave a speech before the United Nations in which he said that “Every man, woman and child lives under a nuclear sword of Damocles, hanging by the slenderest of threads, capable of being cut at any moment by accident or miscalculation or by madness.”

99, Roberts presides over the hearing, the senators decide on the rules.

The Republicans are in a not great place except that no one pays attention anyway, the whole thing is an inside baseball kind of issue. When Clinton went in front of the senate the vote on the rules was 100/0. They all agreed. The objective was to get to the truth even if it made Clinton look bad, and whoo doggie did it ever. They did have some back and forth about how Clinton was to appear, finally they agreed on a video chat thing.

The problem with Trump is he's guilty, and everyone knows it. Even Trump. They don't want to hear from the material witnesses who were there at the time, Giuliani, Bolton, whoever the chief of staff was at the time. Bolton is such a straight arrow he'd take pleasure in telling the truth. Trump testifying is out of the question, he'd perjure himself if you asked him what he had for breakfast, he lies obsessively as a test of loyalty, like you either ignore the lie or you're fired.

I don't know what they are going to do. Probably most the country just wishes they'd get over it and onto something more interesting, like porn stars or something. Everything is on hold until Jan 6 or something. Everyone on vacation.

I find it odd that Sens. Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer, who are members of the senate jury, are engaged in a dispute over the rules of the impeachment trial procedure, while Chief Justice John Roberts, who will be presiding over the trial, is not involved.

Has anyone noticed that Trump and his defenders hardly ever use the words "withhold," "military aid," "Ukraine," "solicit," personal benefit," or "national security?"
All we hear is "fraud," "witch hunt" and "hoax."

Here is an excerpt from the article:

Citing market conditions with lower prices and the lessening demand of steel, the company said it would idle two of its blast furnaces at the Great Lakes plant in Michigan and the Gary Works plants in Indiana.

Last week in Pennsylvania, President Donald Trump said his 25 percent tariff on foreign imports has turned a "dead" business into a "thriving" enterprise.

In September, he tweeted, “Our Steel Industry is the talk of the World. It has been given new life, and is thriving.”

But his promises to add additional tariffs on Chinese imports is a move that has caused drastic plunges in the stock market. Since Trump announced steel tariffs on March 1, 2018, U.S. steel stock prices have fallen by 34 percent.

An official at the United Steelworkers union, which represents U.S. Steel workers, told Reuters that layoffs were also planned for the Gary Works facility in Indiana.

Just write a two line synopsis of the articles. I don't read them.

That's right, the House voted to pursue impeachment in the Senate. Some scholars say the Senate does not need the articles, they can just dismiss the case.
