If we can give the illusion that a losing party can change the vote of the people, this country has no hope of surviving and there is no reason to have further elections !! The results of the election just prove what the American people thought of the dimwit party in the first place. So, suck it up and become what the voters want, this is not rocket science !!
Um ... Trump is not in office as a result of a "vote of the people." The majority of Americans (a significant majority) voted to keep him out of office. Guess you forgot. One would think the guy would keep his head down a bit given that fact. Nope. Reckless and careless. Trump just doesn't give a sh*t.

Anyway this is not a case of a "losing party changing the vote of the people." It's about a president doing enough stupid illegal stuff to get himself legally removed from office. No one in the Democratic Party made Trump pick up the phone and attempt to bribe or coerce a foreign government into meddling in the upcoming general election. It is understandable that other responsible Americans in service to their country who were privy to the conversation would be appalled at Trump's behaviour and report it to Congress. They would be as irresponsible as he is if they didn't.

    • Hard to say how things are going. Everyone knows what's up, and most assume to know how things will unfold, what everyone seems to be wondering is how much damage it will do. I'm sure there is good private polling and also focus group work being done. Republicans seem defensive and angry of late, Kelly Anne Conway lost it earlier today. I vacillate, some days I think Sanders might not be so bad. Supremes are pretty locked up for quite a few years. Maybe it is time for an election loss. I'm not specifically blaming the Rs for pandering, I mean the entire D party voted for a huge war we all knew was BS. Plus all the candidates speak in "woke speak". Interesting times.

Uhhmmm....yes he is. Trump was not put into office by a "transmogrifier".
Enough people in the right places voted to give Trump 304 electoral votes.
That's enough to handily defeat Clinton who garnered a mere 227 electoral votes.
BTW, Trump is the 5th POTUS to lose the popular vote but win the election, so this isn't an anomaly.

        • I think they should put an asterisk after those vote totals, with the word "Russian interference" in the footnote.

Just one more buttsore demwit who is still not convinced that the EC is the final word in a presidential election. For those who think it is insignificant, they need to understand just how important it was to our founding fathers and their purpose of it. If the issue was reversed, the demwits would be totally okay with it, just shows the reason they are not adult enough to accept that Trump has interrupted their attempt to take the country in their desired socialistic direction and is attempting to MAGA !!! Get over it, win the vote of the people and shut the hell up !!!!

            • The pundits claim that most voters didn't care much for either candidate, and just chose the lesser of two evils. They were really thinking "none of the above."
So Hillary got the boot on election day, and if Trump should be removed, both of them will be gone.

              • Bowhunter, calling people dimwits kind of reflects back on you more than the object of your name calling, just saying.

About 16, yes Trump won the electoral college and the election. I knew it the next day when Obama welcomed Trump and Melania to the White House for some photo ops and so the country would have no doubt as to succession. Trump also lost the popular vote by a few million for what it's worth, more people voted for Clinton. We don't say the people spoke because if that were the case there'd be a different President. I like the electoral college and the slight edge in influence it gives Nevada and Wyoming, on a lot of issues I'm closer to the typical Montana voter than the typical one in DC (who gets no representation). All that said we had two of the most disliked candidates to ever run for President, running against each other.

It was obvious from before the election that Trump would have issues of legality. The guy is a constant law suit forever before he ran for office. He's known for jacking around contractors and lenders, his business was tax manipulation and he's currently under investigation by numerous states and federal entities. That's Trump.

The impeachment is a battle of competing propaganda narratives at this point. There's no doubt as to what happened, the only unknowns are how much more happened and who else was involved.

At this minute Giuliani is running wild in Europe doing god knows what, claiming to be acting on behalf of the President but the Trump whitehouse is just trying to keep track of where the heck he is going and has instructed (asked) the Ukraine President not to even meet with him.

All our politicians care about is re election, both parties. Almost all members of congress would support Hugo Chavez back from the dead if it meant their personal re election. I mean what's 2 trillion $ and a few hundred thousand lives in the middle east worth? If Republicans ever turned on Trump it would be after they were in danger of losing their personal election, being sheep they'd all turn at once too. Republican senators are no braver than the Democratic ones.

Meanwhile there is supposed to be a country to run.

                • In case Rock that demwits is a little over your head, it is a short cut for democrats and not implied for an individual ! But then that is neither here nor there and probably due to it’s insignificance, needs not to be explained ! But getting back on the real topic (Trump) we are only talking about him because he was the winner of the clown show of candidates for the presidency ! We would be talking the same words if miss piggy had been elected, we would only be changing names ! We were caught between a rock and a hard place with no place to go, but I do think we are a slight bit ahead even with Trump, at least the country now is away from the socialist direction for the time being.

You should use better sources than Red State, a lot of their stuff is pure drivel.
