        you could bleach them, and then do what beekeeper and chris said. but if you want them kept lookin faded, don't bleach.

          mineral or olive oil restores a little bit of color and sheen if they're not totally bleached. If they are use a golden oak or caramel colored wood stain

            We used wood stain (light as possible), when I worked for Jonas Bros. Taxidermy in Denver.
            Use the lightest color possible(to natural color). Apply small amount rub off immed. then repeat to desired color.

              I've heard coffee. Then seal with varathane flat

                $9 I would guess are for the large calibers - safari grade. Regular .300WbyMag probably list in the $65 a box range. I have bought some for $40 a box...
