What I have found out Pentax is made by Burris Scope. Like Leupold makes Redfield Scopes.

I've never owned or used one, but I've heard that Burris no longer makes Pentax scopes, and that they have now been outsourced to Japan.
Some dealers say they will no longer stock them because of quality control complaints.

I have one on a rifle I use for target shooting only. Reason being it is electrically powered and has a digital zoom. The glass quality isn't the greatest but the price was great. I read a good review on another site, the price was great so I figured what the heck. It's heavy but it's on a rifle I don't carry far. I would rate it as good.

I have one on my winchester 3030 and it does the job. Never had any issues with it so far.

You can squeeze a caliper and get a .0002 variance. In my experience NASA and another mfg. needed those type of tolerances and in the early years could...

Good article on pressure testing. It takes about 40 hours to test for one caliber and bullet weight with about 16 types of powder.

I like the pic of the flag tow with a cloud behind each. I make a couple of low level (about 20') laps in front of several hundred spectators all standing...
