      You are aware it's for parallax correction. For those scopes with AO on the objective lens, match the estimated range to the target to the inscribed range on the scope. For side focus AO, follow the manufacturers recommendations. There is some latitude, so don't be concerned how precise your range estimation may be or you will lose precious time. Give it your best estimation, make the adjustment, aim and fire.
