Im having trouble catching a problem woodchuck for a friend. I have 2 live traps set with cantelope and melon oil with a little salt. The sets are outside the den holes under the barn. My bow isnt a option neither is a gun. Any ideas?

By "a gun" do you mean a firearm? I'm not sure about other states, but in my state there is only a law covering the discharge of a firearm or bow within a certain distance of dwellings. If this is true I wouldn't rule out an air rifle. But if that isn't an option either you should assess the following:
How long have the traps been set? Are they Hav-A-Hart type traps? They could be wary of a new object in their area.
If you can legally and without endangering any pets, set a body grip directly above the den entrance.
