Would you be in favor of instant replay for major league baseball? There is a proposal pending that would allow each manager three challenges per game (but no challenges on balls and strikes).

    Yes.

Sometimes it's impossible for an umpire to make a call.

I think it would resolve a lot of disputes at first base. The umpire could tell the angry manager and coaches that if they were all that sure about it, they could use one of their challenges.

I am also in favor of it. I don't watch much baseball except the highlighs on ESPN, but it seems that this year there have been alot of close calls at home place also. Lot of the calls were wrong, so replay could help that.

I am not in favor of it, calls are part of the game, human error is part of the game, and it has been since the beginning. I like baseball because of the tradition, and I think instant replay will slow the games down.

I am in favor of it. They just need to do it quickly so as not to slow down a game that is already too slow for TV audiences. It has been quite disappointing to see bad calls made be referees when we can see the right call in a second.

I would highly recommend that they have an independent ref on the sidelines or back at mission control that watches the play and can replay it instantly to send the umpire a ruling alert within 10-15 seconds. Viewers need only be aware of the replay call if it reversed the on-field call. I'd really like them to realize that viewers now see the game better than the umpire does and take advantage of technology to improve the game rather than make it even more boring. I can see whether the pitch is in the strike zone on my iPhone faster than I can get a call from the umpire nowadays.

                I like the idea.
Give each baseball manager a red flag like in football. Each manager gets two challenges a game.

One stupid umpire cost a pitcher a perfect game last year. Instant reply would have reversed it.

Body cam footage shows Floyd wasn't murdered. The cop kneeling on his neck might have been negligent, but his actions did not kill Floyd.
