I would like to ask an opinion of the Gentlemen on this site. What is the best fire resistant 10-16 gun safe for $500 or so. I would also like your take on the best lock-up. Digital, Tumbler or Keyed lock. This will be going in a closet on the second floor of an alarmed house. Your input is greatly appreciated, Thank you.

I have a Liberty(Key)6/Gun safe in my Hunt Trailer
$175.00. I have Time locks on my Two Dibold Gun Vaults in my Shop.I like key-type over Digital, I really like the Old type with a Combo Dial.

American Security, or Amsec. I have Amsec and Liberty safes, and there is not enough difference to justify the large price difference.
I prefer the tumbler locks. By the way, having a safe upstairs reduces the required fire-time rating. In a worst-case scenario, there is less fire time upstairs. Basement placement requires the most fire time rating.
