A little American Geographic Trivia. What is the Most Eastern State in The United States?

Maine is the state but not the easternmost point which is in the U.S. Virgin Islands if I remember my old school lessons from years ago correctly. Also Hawaii beats out Key West in Florida as the southern most point.

More specifically the Aleutian Islands of Alaska.

I knew this had to be a trick question. Just what is Alaska east of, the prime meridian?

Carl, technnically I bow to you because Alaska is the eastern most state in the Eastern Hemisphere having the Aleutian Islands almost on 180 degrees longitude, but I was taught that the Sun comes up in the east and it hits Maine long before it hits Alaska.
