Deer30 - I'm in the market for .22 ammo, but it's not even going for $100 a brick on gun broker. A brick of 500 is selling for around $60 right now. Senator Inhofe of OK has introduced a bill, S.843 to limit the amount of ammo the government can stockpile and have the GAO do an inventory of all government agencies that have ammo.
Frank Lucas of OK is doing the same in the House.

My local walmart has a few assorted rifle calibers (by a few I mean 2 or 4 different kinds and a couple boxes of each) but they have quite a few boxes of Federal multi purpose loads in 12 gauge @ $26 per 100
