Good bar bet: Did you know that it is impossible to eat and completely swallow a single slice of white bread without a beverage within 60 seconds? Well, almost impossible.

I've only seen it done once. But I think that guy who wins the hot dog eating contest at Nathan's in Coney Island every year could probably do it.

The thin eaters are the winners at the Nathan's hot dog eating contest every year. The big fat giants with huge stomachs never win.
          Go figure that one out?

I have another sure bet. Grabbing a piece of dried spaghetti on each end it is impossible to break it in half. It will always break into three pieces. It is simple physics of load and compression. When a beam is loaded, till a fracture occurs. At that precise moment, when this happens. It springs back to break a third piece.

Im assuming a soda cracker and a saltine are the same thing. 6 saltines in 1 minute with no drink is near impossible. I would bet good money with most people that they cannot do it.

Plumbers use a ball of bread to keep residual drops of water away from an area they want to solder. After the job is done and water turned on the bread dissolves harmlessly.

jhjimbo, just a point of information. If somebody shuts off their main water valve to the house they should open up every faucet. This will eliminate a vacuum and will allow the water to run out below. If the main house valve isn't holding tight the Plumber will place a bread ball inside copper pipe and then heat the pipe area where the bread ball is located with his soldering torch. This will hold back the small leak of water so he can solder. When you’re done soldering you should shut off every faucet in the house except for the two outside spigots. The bread could clog up the screens on the end of your faucet spout or block off the water flow inside the plastic cartridge inside your faucet. Good Luck!
