Ok, so I have a machete that I would like to put in my truck. Is there any laws in Idaho or Washington that would make this an issue? (the machete is a Tramontina bush knife, about 2 1/2 feet in length.) Thanks

I don't know at all but I suspect that in that part of the country, most citizens carry a sidearm or a rifle and don't consider a machete to much of a menace. I think that old saying "Don't bring a knife to a gun fight"! may have originated in Idaho. LOL
I think you will have to check state laws to be certain. I've never heard of machete laws. I hope I wasn't in violation as I cut weeds out of my dad's soybeans for years.
