                I'd guess horseshoe crabs, which are primitive in design. Their products fight bacteria in injectible medications and they're an ongoing focus of research.

                    PS One more fact their blood is copper based. So it's blue instead of red as in iron based blood

                        actually, the horseshoe crab has remained unchanged for 7000 years, as the earth is only about that old.

                            Ed I think habben97 believes the Chicken came before the Egg. It's an old Creationist Theory were they teach Evolution in Bible Class.

                              PS It also gave rise to the Fred and Wilma Doctorate were Dinosaur's and people occupied the same time frame.
