I really wanted to reply to Dallas A.'s question on most memorable outdoor experience, but the site powers must have blocked it. My most memorable outdoor experience involved a spring afternoon at the lake with a hippie girl with long black hair who was enthusiastic, inventive and limber as a sprout of leatherwood. That was forty-five years ago, but the memories are still vivid.

I wonder why Dallas A,'s question was blocked by Field and Stream?
My most memorable experience was camping out in pup tents near Granite Park Chalet in Glacier National Park in northern Montana. My cousin Mark and I saw our first grizzly bear with two small cubs. The sow was eating the grass and the cubs were playing in a patch of snow. An awesome sight!

Mine was the time a guy of our grouse hunting party wandered away from the crowd and got lost. we spent five hours looking for him. Go figure, he was the only guy with GPS and the only one to get lost. We found him by firing the standard three shots spaced out. Every time i want to sneak off to hunt somewhere, i always think about him.
