It's slim picking in southwestern Ohio. Stores are still getting ammo but the hoarders trying to make money must have a mass email to one another and buy it up within hours of hitting shelves. It's not limited to ammo either, guns mainly ar's and certain handguns are flying off the shelves. People are trying to sell 50 round boxes of 9mm federals for $35 upwards to fifty dollars, 500 round boxes of 22lr are being offered for upwards of $75, 223 are around $25 for 20 rounds, 45's are $60 - $75. Ruger 10/22 run about $450. Bushmasters are priced $1500-2200. Handguns run all over the place but typically 100% markup. All this is private party sales of course and the gun stores have really cracked down on these hoarders/cons, only allowing a 100 rounds and limiting gun purchases to one a household per month. I just can't wait until the dust settles and I can start going back to the range and shoot without a bunch of knuckleheads buying everything up costing everyone more to go have a little fun.

Local shelves are fairly empty. One retailer has a flashing sign that advertises "NO .223, NO 22 LR, NO 9 mm." Other outlets, box stores, and gun stores have only oddball calibers and shot-shells, and most have a two or three box limit per customer per day rule in effect.

by labrador12No test this year. That saves me $700 or so. I also don't have to wait around for the test, so no 5 days at $53 a day in a RV Park in Bellingham. Now...
