I continue to shoot varmints as opportunities permit from early spring to mid autumn.

Hogs are the big thing to hunt in NC in the summer... But most of us tend to switch to hunting fish.

I hunt any wildlife that steps or flies in front of my motion trail cameras. I check the trail cams every two weeks. After the spring turkey season ends, hunting stops during the summer months for most hunters.
I think the summer months are time for my better half, my wife. She is great when it comes to all my outdoor activities, and I choose not to be a hog. I take her to the beach, go on picnics, walk on trails in the woods, go canoeing, biking etc.

It wouldn't be summer without some woodchucks to challenge the sniper in all of us.

Bear (aug 27th-nov 24th), coyotes (all year) as long as it's not to hot for the dogs to run), expanded archery whitetails (sept 7th-dec 14th), bluefin tuna (June- October), Brookies (April-dec), salmon (April-dec), stripped bass (June-sept), large mouth (April-oct), smallies (April-oct) Maine lobster (year round) I think that covers it for warm weather fun.

coyotes. excellent time to use a bird distress or fawn bawl. coyotes also like to eat turkeys in the summer.
ground hogs and skunks are also legal in the summer, at least in IL
