      You are correct. Aim right in front of the bird lead it by an inch or two.

      They had an article in F&S about where to place your bead in all sorts of different shooting situations. Don't know if you got that issue but it was pretty interesting.

        My kid is better at trap than me but we both believe you are getting the correct sight picture. Don't think about your sight picture, practice until it becomes automatic. After all these years I still sometimes stop my swing when I start instantly analyzing the shot usually causing a miss. My kid is more of a swing and shoot guy with proper follow through.
