once i tried shootin a cat that wouldn't leave our house. it kept tryin to get in the door, it clawed the screen out of an open window. so it was about 75 yards away and i got a great rest, with my 22, felt like such a confident, great shot, and my gun jammed. i accidently loaded a LR. my gun jams LR's, im getting it worked on now. i usually shoot longs.

nice hjohn but mom is allergic to cats so if one got around here it would probably be dead before i had a chance at it. I will fill popcans up though. Thanks all.

Fill old pop cans with water. Then shoot them and they will actually explode! Cats are always great targets too.

Since you're on the internet, you can go to Remington's website and download different targets in .pdf format.

Crackers and stale cookies. Leave the mess for the birds.

Yeah, I was strictly talkin about the .22 vs. old tile. dont try that with a BB gun. Also, i do clean my mess up after I shoot, even if it does take a half hour or better. It's so worth it!!!

Blocks of ice, use an old soda can or tupperware container and then freeze. Fun, free, and no clean up!

It's not free but... Get a spray paint can with like have of it left and shoot it. Make sure the can is ways away from anything you don't want being hit. It will fly like in eagle...
