    I got to looking at my BB gun barrel and i dont think it is stainless steel. If you know what it is, p;ease say, and how would you clean it? It is a 66 powermaster.

    It is getting a cloudy look on it. It is also marked were te scope mounts used to be.

      yeah same answer as before, i would just get some wd 40. that's what i did with my bb rifle and it made a little bit of rust go away.

              Airguns are convenient in that they only needed to be cleaned a couple of times in your life time. There is no carbon or powder fouling, and any debris gets blown out by the compressed air. If you shoot a lot of pellets there may be a little lead fouling, but that comes out easy.

                Spray a tad bit of WD-40 and shoot the rust etc out!

                  It is on the outside, it is not a air gun, it is a bb gun, it is powered by a spring not compressed air. I think i will try WD 40

                    That spring powers a piston which pushes COMPRESSED AIR.

                      hunt_fish, what if the INSIDE of the barrel is a hard plastic, and the barrel on the OUTSIDE is steel, that is getting cloudy, that the only helpful response is WD-40. I cant shoot cloudiness and dirtiness off the OUTSIDE of the barrel
