My brother and I were attempting to do a European mount on a giant wild boar I shot. We had just finished boiling the head and were letting it cool when his lab came galloping by and with one swipe of his tail knocked the skull to the pavement. Well needless to say it broke the back of the eye socket out. it is a clean break right at one of the fault lines in the skull. Does anyone know how to re attach this piece of bone?

I would try a thin line of super glue, or clear epoxy resin if you were concerned about future strength. warning if you use epoxy make shure to spot test it somewhere in order to make shure it wont stain or dry off collor. Hope this helps!!!
P.S. there is always duct tape

I would think any high strength glue would work. I would go with super glue.

I would go with what sloth said about the epoxy.

well that no doubt sucks but super glue will put you right back on track. If it chiped then some epoxy will seal or fill the bones back together. If you need any help take it to a taxidermist but you should be able to do it on you're own. When you get done be sure and post it on you're pictures I'd love to see it!

I am going to suggest Super Glue. Since everyone else seems to also be suggesting Super Glue, I guess my suggestion is kinda redundant, but none-the-less, I say Super Glue. I had a Chocolate Lab. Had to put her down at the ripe old age of 13 about 2 months ago. I threatened thousands of times to dock her tail. A remote, a 12 oz. can, a 32 oz. mug, a plate rounded off with supper, didn't matter what was on the coffee table, when she walked by happy, they all became projectiles. I sure do miss that dog.

I'd be pissed. Shoot the dog and mount it.
