    well define beat up cause my grandpas is a tank and its over 60 years old it is beat up '' scratches chunks missing'' and it still runs as if it came out of the box . at my local gun store theirs one from 1903 they year it came out and it works great

      A great old shotgun, esp. those pre-war specimens made in Belgium. Good for sitting in a duck blind, but a bit heavy for hunting upland game.

        You can't beat a browning shotgun with a stick. If the damage is cosmetic only, go for it.

          The Brownings A~5 is like a time/X it keeps on Working.

            The browning A-5 and the Remington 11(very close to being the same gun) are excellent examples of recoil operated shotguns. They are very well made and very long lived.
