More than I need but never enough! It deoends on your definition of "go to" For most big game it would be a Ruger M77 MKII LH in 30/06. An all around shotgun would by my old Remington 870 Wingmaster 12GA for which I have a collection of various barrels.

lovetohunt said he liked his rem 11-87. I have one of them and it has been the biggest lemon of a gun i have ever bought. I had to send it back to the factory 3 or 4 times. The one good thing is that remington stood behind the gun and fixed it every time at no charge to me.

Depends on what I'm "going to" for...for self defense it would be a shotgun or a high capacity pistol...for hunting a good bolt action rifle like a Remington 700...for anything bigger a .50 BMG.
Not that I have any of these or any other weapons for that matter.............
