MLH- I've seen you mention RGS several times, what does that stand for and do they have it down where I'm at?

RGS is the Ruffed Grouse Society. Big into habitat development for grouse and woodcock and, therefore, most other creatures of the woods. There are two chapters close to you - Robert J. Lytle (RJL) in Imlay City and the Flint chapter. Great groups of guys and gals devoted to RGS work in Michigan. Raise funds through banquets and raffles for habitat development and to sponsor youth events, dog trials, etc. RJL also conducts a cleanup at Lapeer State Game Area every April (remove invasive species, clear trials, overgrowth, etc.) Might have seen information booths at Wood-n-Water, Outdoorama, and the Midwest Fly Fishers Expo. Flint banquet was last week. RJL banquet is on March 28 in Imlay City. Check out ruffedgrousesociety.com
