Beekeeper is right on. Browning did in fact design the first pump shotgun. Winchester manufactured the gun, the model 1897. This was the first pump gun that was successful. However there was at least one other model of pump action but the name escapes me at the moment. However none of the choices above ring a bell.

I remember the story my father told me about how my grandfather threw his 1897 pump in the Mississippi river after his friend was almost killed by a 1897 that blew up after the lugs on the action failed and took about half his face off the hammer and all came back at him.My grandfather went and bought the model 12 that i have in my safe right now.

The model 37 Itacha was an early pumpgun but noy as popular as the winchesters.It is copied by the BPS.

H.F.S - the guys on that show apparently didn't check their facts. Might want to do it on your own. Look up the history of the Winchester 1893 and 1897 and the Spencer pump shotgun.
