Move very slowly. Movement is what gives you away most of the time to a squirrel

I agree, I was going to say, be still if you sit (like deer hunting) and move slowly if you walk (like deer hunting).

The first two guys are right, BE as STILL as possible.

be very quiet and move slowly. If u can find some kind of nuts on the ground put them in your palm and hit them together it makes a squerrel call.

WA Mtnhunter, not fishy at all. Just because your state does not do it. I know Virginia has a June season. Kids are out of school, so there is a lot more time to get them into the woods and introduce a youngster to hunting.

When you tree a squirell, they tend to stay on the opposite side of the tree of where you are standing. Try tossing a stick or a rock to the other side of the tree to get them to slide around to the side you are standing on.

Wow! I did not know that. Seems that Louisiana, Missouri, Tennessee, and others have a spring season.

Pardon me, I think my slip is showing.

a good stratagey is if you have more than two people have one person walk about 50 yards ahead of and off to the right or left of you for safety and have him make some noise the squirrels will sit on the back of the trees and have watch the first person
