    The coyotes I am familiar with hate to get their paws muddy and only walk on the driest soil.

      Exactly. Unless there is a sure meal there, they will avoid muddy plowed fields.

          Hi...


          Or, try the "hay" set...described in newer trapping books and DVDs...and on some trappers' forums.
