Get a good rifle with a scope. Check out F&S Feb 2008 "A Starter Guide to Coyote Hunting" and Feb 2009 "Howl in Angry Coyotes".

scoped long range rifles, distress calls, and where to find a generous fur trader. the last one's kinda optional haha, but i always sell my coyotes.

I know a little, I was taught that a scoped rifle for long shots, and a shotgun for short range are a must. Get some quality vidios(I did)and also get your hands on those two copys Of F&S. Good luck and good hunting!
