I like to use conibear traps. And if it is legal in your state, you can tear out a section of the dam and put the trap there. Also trap where the beavers slide over the dam to cross it. You could also snare the beavers slides that lead from the bank into the water. Good luck.

Well, first of all, they don't like to be referred to as mearly "Beavers." Find yourself a nice young lady you can bring home to mom, and the beaver will follow in due time.

Shave, shower, brush your teeth, get a hair cut, some cologne, work out, get a good job, buy some new clothes, learn to dance, drive a nice car, be a good listener-they love to talk.....good luck!!!!!!!!

Back in high school, a fifth of mad dog 20/20 always worked. As beavers get older, they tend to like more expensive things. Your choice lure would be Jack Daniels or Grey Goose. Adult beavers are very hard to please, especially when they have screaming babies. There is not much you can do to get beaver at this point; I recommend taking up fishing.

Best place to set your trap is near a bar. Wait until closer to closing time to set the trap as they are most susceptible after last call.

right now unless you are VERY FAR NORTH ( north of montreal) you shouldn't really be trapping beaver. But lets say that you are. What you do is set the trap about 10-15 ft away from his house (depending on your state laws). You get a nice green piece of white ash (if these don't grow in your area get another hardwood about 4 inches in diameter) and you then stick it under water where the beaver will see it. also make sure that the trap is turned so that when the beaver goes to eat the wood that it will get instantly killed. Check your trap every day and you will probably get a beaver.

put a snare on a run with some beaver castor behind the loop and double stake it
