Gonna sight in my .243 today, probally zero it at 150 or 200yds, and god willing we don't have school tommorow, due to the 5-7 inches of the white stuff were expecting tonight, I'll take her on her inaugural (wierd word) run 2morrow. Cottontails, coyotes watch out. Who else here loves a fresh snow for hunting?

I would start zeroing at 20yrds and then move out to 150yrds.

Well of course, I just meant that the end result would be a zero around 150 to 200yds. Thanks for the advice anyhow

This late season is great to still hunt in fresh snow, less people in woods, and you have fresh trails.

Little extreme for cottontails, don't you think? Unless you plan to use some splattered bunnies for coyote bait.

You must not be from a northern state if you are not going to have school due to 5-7 inches. If you don't have school, good luck with the shooting.

I'm from Pa, but busses only have chains in erie, otherwise we get quite a few snow days(in Armstrong County).

I'm in Westmoreland County and it maybe a little windy for sighting in tomorrow. Take you flintlock out, it will be a good day for deer.

New York City was understaffed for snow removal after the last blizzard because of its financial crisis. Guess they now have an excuse to raise taxes again.
Good luck with the .243 on its maiden voyage, winmag.

If you live in Wyoming like me, nothing sets your heart a pounding like fresh snow on the mountains in elk season or ski season. The world is suddenly white and beautiful especially on a windless sunny blue sky day.
