Yep, noticed last week doing some evening yard work that the sun was starting to cast those long shadows. That time of year when I won’t start any of those type of chores until after dinner when the temp actually drops with the sun and you get a chill when you’re finished. But it’s now or never ‘cause in a few short weeks they’ll be no time for such mundane tasks.

We’ better squeeze in a couple fishing outings as well......

        Oy, need an editor.

OHH, you can bring back as much as your belly will hold, no more. At least in the US port of entries.

You must be about packed aren’t you? Can’t believe it’s been almost a year since our Ontario adventure, maybe this Africa trip will get you primed up for turkey down here next spring.

              Working on it.

I was primed for turkey hunting this year. Unfortunately Opal got called by her maker and I couldn't go. She needed me more than I needed a turkey.

While working on my new gun case outside the garage this afternoon the wind was whistling through the jack pine overhead. For a moment I thought I was back at my fall fishing camp up the middle fork. Swear I could hear the pack mare's picket bell ringing. Almost brought a tear to my eye.
